This tradition has spread through History as “souling and guising” in Scotland and Ireland. It came to the United States and Canada at the beginning of the 20th century. In the 1930s, Trick-or-Treat started spreading from Canada to the United States. In the 1970s, Halloween celebrations went back to Europe.
