A Good Time to Slow Down, Get Cozy, and Earn Your PDUs
There’s something about fall that makes us want to slow down.
The days get a little shorter, the weather gets cooler, and staying home with a warm drink and a good book suddenly sounds like the perfect plan. It’s also a great time to take a step back, catch your breath, and make time for yourself—and your professional development.
Before you know it, the holiday season will be here. Between holiday shopping, family gatherings, travel, end-of-year work, and everything else on your calendar, finding time to earn your PDUs may become harder.
So why not get a head start this fall?
Make Fall Your Professional Development Season
Think of it as your cocooning season.
You don’t have to rush from one thing to another. Instead, you can settle into a comfortable routine and make a little time each week for learning.
If you’re a PMP® credential holder working toward your renewal requirements, fall is a perfect time to earn PDUs online. You can take an online PDU course from home, learn at your own pace, and make progress without adding another commute or appointment to your schedule.
Put on your favorite sweater, make a cup of coffee or tea, find a comfortable spot, and spend an hour learning something new. ☕🍂🫖
It doesn’t have to feel like work.
Get Your PDUs Done Before the Holiday Rush
We all know how quickly the last few months of the year can disappear.
One minute it’s September, and the next thing you know, you’re making holiday plans and wondering where the time went.
That’s why fall is a good time to take a look at your PDU requirements and think about where you want to grow. How many PDUs do you still need? Are there areas of project management you’d like to learn more about? And are you developing skills across the PMI Talent Triangle®—Ways of Working, Power Skills, and Business Acumen?
Maybe it’s time to sharpen your project management approaches and learn new ways of working. Or perhaps you want to strengthen your artificial intelligence, communication, leadership, collaboration, or other power skills. You might also want to build your business acumen and better understand how projects connect to organizational goals and strategy.
Getting started now can help you avoid putting your professional development on the back burner when the holidays arrive.
Learn at Your Own Pace With Online PDU Courses
One of the great things about online learning is flexibility.
You can choose PDU courses from our training catalog that fit your interests and professional goals, then work through them when you have the time.
Maybe you prefer learning early in the morning. Maybe an evening on the couch works better for you. Or perhaps you like using a quiet weekend morning to focus on professional development.
There’s no need to make it complicated.
A little time spent learning now can add up to meaningful progress toward your PMP renewal.
